Boat Surveying & Inspection
Ben's Boatworks performs comprehensive pre-purchase, insurance, and condition-and-value surveys to give boat owners and buyers a clear, honest picture of a vessel's condition. Our inspections cover structural integrity, mechanical systems, safety equipment, and more — documented in a detailed written report. A proper survey protects your investment and gives you the information you need to make confident decisions.
Diving & Underwater Services
Our dive team handles hull inspections, propeller removal and installation, zinc replacement, line and debris removal, and underwater repairs — all without requiring a costly haul-out. We work on vessels at the dock, on the mooring, or at anchor, keeping downtime to a minimum. Regular underwater inspections help catch growth, corrosion, and damage before they turn into bigger problems.
Marine AC & Climate Control
Ben's Boatworks installs, services, and repairs marine air conditioning and climate control systems, including chilled-water and self-contained units commonly found on cruisers and liveaboards. We diagnose refrigerant issues, clean seawater strainers and heat exchangers, and address electrical faults that cause systems to underperform. Keeping your climate control system in good shape makes a real difference in onboard comfort during warm-weather seasons.
Marine Plumbing & Sanitation
We handle all aspects of marine plumbing and sanitation, including holding tank installation and repair, through-hull and seacock service, freshwater system maintenance, and marine head repairs. Proper sanitation systems are critical for both compliance with marine regulations and the comfort of everyone aboard. We work with the systems as they are or help owners upgrade to more reliable, regulation-compliant setups.
